Bas Relief Sculpture Process
The Process of Commissioning a Bas Relief Sculpture in your home:
Initial contact with discussion of design, subject matter, and elements of a Sculpted Relief on your Wall.
We will request photos, or take them ourselves, of the walls and areas in consideration.
Sketches are drawn and sent via email, along with cost estimates. Additional sketches are charged accordingly.
We are also available to look at the job whenever possible, as it helps with the overall design.
We travel anywhere in the US to create our Sculpted Relief Artwork and love the challenge of different tastes, décor, and interests.
The Process of Creating the Sculpted Relief:
Once a final design has been approved, a deposit is paid and the job is scheduled.
We come prepared with all tools, materials, equipment, and insurance.
The Relief Sculpture takes a minimum of 5 days and up to a month or 2, depending on many factors.
Owners must supply final wall paint to match the current base color.
Please feel free to contact us with additional questions on the process.

After initial contact and discussion of design, subject matter, and elements, I will request photos, or take them myself, of the walls and areas in consideration.
I will then sketch out a few ideas on my computer, and then send them to you via email, along with cost estimates.
If there are additional sketches desired, there is a per hour drawing and design fee.

The Process of Creating the Sculpted Relief:
Once a final design has been approved and the job scheduled, I come prepared with all tools, materials, equipment, and insurance.
Owners must supply final wall paint to match what is already there.
Once the job starts, I cover everything in the immediate vicinity and start preparing the wall, depending on the substrate. I then draw out the design and start the sculpting process with my plaster mix. After all the sculpting is completed, the entire relief is sealed and painted over with the wall color.
The relief design can then be painted with a transparent or opaque acrylic or metallic glaze…whatever is best suited for the design, the décor of the area and personal taste.
The smallest design takes a minimum of 4-7 days, and can go for several weeks depending on how large the project is.
Please feel free to call me with additional questions.

Bonnie and Jason! Lets add more text info here on the actual process of how Bas Relief Sculpture is made! Beginning to end! The whole process!
"When Michelle and I first saw Bonnie’s work in Breckenridge we thought someone had taken a thin slice of an aspen tree and glued it to the wall. We knew immediately we had to find out who did this and we wanted that incredible creation in our home. Bonnie has the type of personality that quietly draws you to her. Her work is a true labor of love. I had the luxury of watching the project develop each day. From an idea in her head and on paper to a rough sketch on the wall to the placement of the individual leaves on the branches of the trees. I witnessed the complete transformation. Her passion created a one of a kind work of art that has become the focal point of our mountain home. We can’t imagine our home without the masterpiece she created. She looked out our window at the incredible view and than put that vision onto our wall. She brought the essence of the mountains into our living room. Truly stunning. We love it, our family and friends love it! Everyday we stare at Bonnie’s creation in awe, thanking God for where we live, all we have and for bringing this amazing person into our lives. How blessed we are! She named her company Transforming Walls, she does much more than that, she transforms lives. Thank you so much for everything."
